CFI Reschedules Annual Convention for December

The International Certified Flooring Installation Association (CFI) announced it will host its 27th Annual Convention & Expo Dec. 9–11 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla.

The convention was originally scheduled to take place Aug. 12–14, but was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

CFI said it is committed to taking proactive measures to help ensure health and safety at the rescheduled in-person convention.

“We are excited to deliver the 2020 Annual Conference in person,” CFI Executive Director Robert Varden said in a statement. “Now, more than ever, it is important for the floor covering professionals from every sector to come together to discuss the challenges surrounding installation they have encountered, how they have adapted their safety practices and the lessons they have learned.”

The event will feature networking, certification opportunities, hands-on training, new product information and an educational event sponsored by Personna and Taylor Adhesives. The event’s annual golf tournament will also be held.

CFI noted that the convention dates are still subject to change due to the fluctuations of the pandemic.

Numerous flooring industry events were postponed or switched to virtual events this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Registration information for the CFI Convention can be found here.
