Daniel Boone, one of the best-known experts in the wood flooring business, has joined American Sanders (Sparta, N.C.) as training manager. Boone will be responsible for creating and leading the American Sanders wood floor sand and finish training program.

Boone has more than 45 years of experience in the wood flooring industry. He grew up in the industry working for his father, and most recently operated his own business, Daniel Boone WFT Inc., in Jacksonville, Fla.

Boone has been an industry educator for decades, first becoming an instructor at the NOFMA school in Memphis in 1994. He served as technical director for the National Wood Flooring Association from 1996–2000, has served as an NWFA regional instructor, and has taught students in Australia, China, Thailand and Mexico.

“We’re excited to welcome Daniel to the team,” said Tom Benton, American Sanders president, in a statement. “We think he’s the best wood floor trainer in the world. Combining his skills with the best equipment brand in the industry is a perfect marriage.”
