“Though we faced some global challenges around this second iteration of our show, we are committed to Domotex USA’s success,” stated Larry Turner, president and CEO of Hannover Fairs USA (HFUSA), the organizer of the event. “Over the next two months, HFUSA will conduct market research and will survey our target audiences to reshape and improve the show for 2021.”

The 2020 show, held Feb. 5–7 at the Georgia World Congress Center, featured 101 exhibitors across 39,800 square feet of exhibition space. The numbers were down from the event’s inaugural show held at the same location Feb. 28–March 2, 2019, which featured 282 exhibitors and a show floor of 89,400 square feet. The 2020 event tripled its educational offerings compared with 2019.

One of the challenges for attendees this year was the timeframe of the show, according to Turner. Domotex USA 2020 was held one week after The International Surface Event, which took place Jan. 28–30 in Las Vegas.

“In the near term to address this timing issue, we have moved our 2021 dates out to March 1–3 and expect that will ease the trade show bottleneck,” Turner said. “We will be exploring the timing in our audience surveys and will keep all our audiences informed of our progress and potential changes.”

The organization’s goal is to safeguard exhibitor and attendee growth, Turner added.
