The Floor Educational Guild has opened registration for its Sept. 20–22 class in Charlotte, N.C.
The class will feature two North Carolina State University professors. Kiln-drying expert Dr. Joe Denig will speak on wood and moisture, and Dr. Guillermo Velarde, a wood materials research specialist and director of the university’s Hodges Laboratory, will discuss moisture testing issues, proper field testing procedures, manufacturing of engineered wood and laminate flooring, moisture control in buildings and laboratory testing. The class will feature hands-on demonstrations.
Tuition is $390, with a 5 percent discount for groups of five or more. To register, send an email here. Class size is limited to 30 students.
