Horizon Forest Products (Raleigh, N.C.) announced it has acquired Wood Pro Inc. (Auburn, Mass.). The acquisition includes Custom Wholesale (Jacksonville, Fla.), which Wood Pro acquired in 2006.
“We are so pleased and excited to have these 10 locations join our team,” Horizon Forest Products VP David Williams said in a statement. “We see this as an opportunity to continue to grow into new areas and look forward to seeing the companies work as one business.”
Horizon Forest Products did not disclose the purchase price.
Wood Pro began its operations with a focus on flooring contractors and selling unfinished flooring before growing its product categories and expanding into the retailer segment. Custom Wholesale Floors is a 35-year-old company with five locations in Florida and Georgia.
There will be no staffing changes as a result of the acquisition. Wood Pro and Custom Wholesale CEO Tony Benvenuti will continue to operate Wood Pro and Custom Wholesale.
“We are so excited to join the Horizon Forest Products team,” Benvenuti said in a statement. “We see tremendous synergy amongst our companies, and this move creates opportunities for our employees, as well as positioning us for the future.”
