Tommy Maxwell, chairman and CEO of Monticello, Ark.-based Maxwell Hardwood Flooring, was inducted into the National Wood Flooring Association Hall of Fame at the NWFA Expo in Orlando, Fla., July 7.
Throughout his 45 years in the industry, Maxwell has worked for prominent flooring companies such as Sykes, Bruce, Anderson and Robbins, and has served as NWFA chairman and on its board of directors. He founded Maxwell Hardwood Flooring in 1992.
Maxwell has also served on the boards of the Arkansas Forestry Association, Hardwood Federation and NOFMA, and helped to oversee the merger of NOFMA and the NWFA. He also established the Legacy Scholarship program in 2014 to help provide training for future generations of wood floor pros.
Maxwell is the seventeenth individual to be inducted into the NWFA Hall of Fame.
