After a sharp rise in January, U.S. hardwood flooring imports slowed in February, falling 15%, ITTO reports. Year-over-year, hardwood flooring imports increased 21%.
Hardwood flooring imports from Brazil jumped 21% month-over-month, but imports from Indonesia declined 65%.
February’s engineered flooring imports dropped 20%, falling by more than 10% from every one of the top U.S. trading partners, according to ITTO, as imports from Thailand sank 93%. However, compared with February 2020, overall engineered flooring imports increased 33%.
