
Last Thursday as some you may have seen, I released a video announcing a road trip and speaking tour in the fall called The Momentum Tour. The idea of doing a road trip to meet the readers came up in my brain one restless morning about 4 a.m. After a few conversations with friends like Avi Hadad, Brett Miller and Jeff Fairbanks it was starting to shape up logistically into a plan, but I needed some support and approval. The staff at Hardwood Floors, people at the NWFA, and some manufacturers really stepped up in order to make the trip a real win-win scenario for all parties involved. Let me take a minute to explain the trip for those who want to participate and read along.
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
I've always felt like the best part of being in contracting is talking shop and helping my peers. When my own contracting business began to suffer following the 2008 economic meltdown, I had to change something fast and re-structure my perspective on contracting. During what seemed like a four-year practicum on sales and marketing I realized I want to focus on contractor coaching and marketing services within our industry. I could have simply announced this on the blog for readers, but I felt the most genuine approach is to engage the readers with a road trip and give back and share the tactics I used to turn around my business during the recession.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
The seminars I am giving at each city are based on real life testing and analysis of successful sales and marketing efforts in my own business. I am going to clearly outline what works and help you understand what you can do to generate more business and operate with higher profit margins. Besides that, we have prizes for attendees.
