➋ The Dew Point Calculator app. It's a great tool to explain to customers why they have problems with wood and humidity, and why we are not responsible for that.

How about an app that doesn't exist but should? I need my local distributors to set up an app where I can do all my ordering (just like clicking "add to my cart" like you do with online distributors), add stuff during lunch break when I realize I need it so I don't forget, fill up my cart until I'm ready to schedule delivery, and see my tab and pay it through the app.

Quotient (for creating quotes) has been awesome this year.

➌ Joist for estimates and invoicing. It links with QuickBooks easily and is free, and provides credit card and e-check processing for a small fee. It's the best thing that ever happened to my company.
Kyle Kuhns
RFMS. The measuring software is awesome and helps us close jobs over our competitors. I was very skeptical at first because it's a lot of money for a program to do estimates on ... until I saw it in action. We can input a blueprint and it does all the figuring for us.

➍ OmniFocus. If you haven't heard of the Getting Things Done system, take a look.
Bryan Meeks
Housecall Pro for scheduling, invoicing, estimating, accepting credit cards and more.
Shaun Moles
➎ QuickBooks Self-Employed and Wagner's WoodH2O.

➏ I take a picture of my job notes and save them in Evernote. It's word-searchable. Now I always have my estimates so I can refer to them quickly.
