Herringbone and chevron wood floors have grown in popularity in and around Riga, Latvia, over the past two years, says Rihards Jeske of Riga, Latvia-based Parketa Nams. The styles are gradually replacing the trendy wide plank floors in the area. The flooring mainly features European oak that is engineered and with lighter color tones. “Maybe it has some connection with trends in interior design and pictures on social media,” Jeske says of the trend. “Our customers already come to us with an idea of what they need, and mainly we need to fine-tune them.”
