Home prices broke yet another record with an 18.6% year-over-year surge in June, according to the latest S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Indices.
It was the third consecutive month of record-breaking home price growth after surges of 16.8% and 14.8% in May and April, respectively.
“The last several months have been extraordinary not only in the level of price gains, but in the consistency of gains across the country,” S&P spokesperson Craig Lazzara stated.
The 10-City Composite annual increase was 18.5% and the 20-City Composite was 19.1%.
Phoenix, San Diego and Seattle reported the highest annual gains in June, rising 29.3%, 27.1% and 25.0%, respectively.
