U.S. exports of engineered wood flooring rose in July after dropping in May, according to trade statistics from Zepol Corporation. Exports of this product have fluctuated in recent years, but the overall export value is up nearly 40 percent this year over 2010, and the value is up nearly 75 percent over 2009. The top importer of U.S. wood flooring is Sweden, which has purchased over $2 million of the product so far this year, Zepol reported. Canada is the second largest importer and "continues to be a steady buyer of the product." In total, U.S. ports have sent about $4.4 million in engineered wood flooring overseas so far this year.
