The NWFA/Hardwood Floors pavilion in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center was busy at Surfaces 2014.
The positive momentum in the industry was almost palpable on the show floor at Surfaces 2014 in Las Vegas Jan. 28-30, with busy aisles and exhibitors who noted that traffic was noticeably greater than last year (official attendance numbers were not immediately released).
The National Wood Flooring Association and Hardwood Floors shared a pavilion with member companies Allegheny Mountain Hardwood Flooring, Basic Coatings, Fortifiber Building Systems Group, Mercier Wood Flooring, Sheoga Hardwood Flooring and Vermont Natural Coatings.
NWFA CEO Michael Martin was pleased with both the traffic and the quality of the traffic in the pavilion. "Our participating exhibitors reported that they received quality leads. Several current pavilion exhibitors have already expressed interest in exhibiting again in 2015, and several members have inquired about exhibiting with NWFA at Surfaces Miami."
Barbara Titus, vice president at Sheoga Hardwood Flooring & Paneling Inc., said, "The experience in the NWFA pavilion provided us with a lot of walk-through traffic. We've made a lot of new contacts and secured a couple of new projects, so it's been a very positive experience."
Likewise, pavilion exhibitor Andrew Meyer, president of Vermont Natural Coatings, said Surfaces was very successful. "It's been an incredible show," he said. "We've had great exposure, and great connections with other NWFA members have given us new relationships that we value as we grow into this professional floor finish market."
