That's what Nike and Jordan Brand did to promote the Melo M10-a line commemorating New York Knicks forward and NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony's 10th year with Nike Basketball. The private full-length court recently made its debut in a former ballroom space now dubbed Terminal 23 at Cafe Rouge, once home to a legendary NYC nightclub where Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington performed on a regular basis.
Some of the room's original architecture remains, but the centerpiece of Terminal 23 (named after Jordan's iconic uniform number) is a shiny hardwood court painted gold and black with the Jordan Brand logo at center court and Anthony's "Melo" nickname scrolled in cursive in each free throw lane. The court reportedly will be available to youth basketball programs in New York City through May.
No word yet on court specifics, but we scoured the web for the coolest shot of the court we could find-plus images of the rest of the facility-and they were on Instagram, posted by Jumpman.
