Move over artisanal pickles, Brooklyn, N.Y., is exporting something even more hip: bowling alley furniture.
Owner Jim Malone, after deciding to change career paths, came across a 7-foot bowling lane slab made of heart pine and used it to build a counter for his New York apartment.
