Month-to-month home prices increased 1.2 percent between June and July. Despite the increases, including the 29th consecutive month of year-over-year home price gains, home prices nationwide are still 11.9 percent below their April 2006 peak.
Core Logic predicts a 0.6 percent increase in home prices between July and August.
"Home prices continued to march higher across much of the U.S. in July," said Anand Nallathambi, president and CEO of Core Logic, in the report. "Our data indicates that this trend will continue, with more states hitting new all-time peaks this year and into 2015 as the recovery continues."
