A fire began in a dust handling unit near Lumber Liquidators headquarters in Toano, Va., on July 17, according to WYDaily.com.
Firefighters from the James City-Bruton Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene around 10:30 a.m. and told WYDaily it would take “some time” to put the fire out because they had to be careful with the dust.
About 16 firefighters remained on the scene throughout the day. They found no more fires in the dust containment unit, but stayed at the facility into the early evening.
There were no reports of anyone being hurt by the fire.
Meanwhile, also on July 17, the company’s stock dropped below $20. The stock had been teetering around $20 since May. It sank below $20 on July 8, but rebounded after a day. The stock hit $19.00 this morning, the lowest price since January 2012.
