Construction spending in November was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,257 billion, 2.4 percent higher than November 2016’s rate of $1,227 billion and 0.8 percent higher than October’s rate of $1,247.1 billion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Private construction spending in November was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $964.3 billion, 1 percent above October’s rate of $955.1 billion. Residential construction was at a rate of $530.8 billion, 1 percent higher than October’s rate of $525.3 billion. Nonresidential construction was at $433.5 billion, 0.9 percent higher than October’s $429.7 billion.
