Daniel Antes Launches Contract Prefinishing Company

The venture is a partnership with David Howard, a local developer and commercial/residential builder, and offers contract prefinishing with an array of distressed and textured looks.

Antes says the company provides finishing services suitable for demanding high-end projects. The finishing techniques available include original-face reclaimed wood flooring; skip-sawn, skip-planed and wire-brushed textures; ceruse multi-dimensional finish; hand-scraping; faux antique looks; Shou Sugi Ban (in which the flooring is actually burned), and other specialty finishes and textures.

"The methods are time-consuming but yield a genuinely unparalleled final product where only the best is good enough," Antes says.
