Small business optimism grew 0.1 points on the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index in March, according to the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
NFIB called the 101.8 level on the index “historically strong” and a signal of solid growth with no signs of a recession in the near term.
Small business optimism levels were shaken in prior months, largely due to the partial government shutdown.
"Since Congress resolved the shutdown, uncertainty has declined as small business owners add jobs, increase sales, and invest in their businesses and employees,” NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan said in a statement.
