Builder confidence increased one point in April to a level of 63 on the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index.
Confidence levels in the single-family housing market have remained in the low 60s for three consecutive months.
“Builders report solid demand for new single-family homes, but they are also grappling with affordability concerns stemming from a chronic shortage of construction workers and buildable lots,” NAHB Chairman Greg Ugalde said in a statement.
