U.S. hardwood flooring imports in July declined 9% compared with July 2022, ITTO reported.
Month-over-month, imports remained flat, falling less than 1%. U.S. hardwood flooring imports from Brazil surged 350% over “a very weak June,” according to ITTO.
Engineered wood flooring imports in the U.S. increased for the fourth consecutive month, rising 7% in July on the strength of surging imports from Indonesia and Thailand. Year-over-year, however, engineered wood flooring imports were down 14% in July.

U.S. hardwood plywood imports rose for the fifth consecutive month in July, jumping 38% from June. The 354,292 cubic meters imported was up 31% compared with July 2022, with gains from Indonesia, Vietnam and China.
