Canadian housing starts dipped 0.4% from May to June to a seasonally adjusted rate of 247,205 units, according to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
Housing starts increased 23% in Montréal due to a 23% increase in new apartment buildings. Meanwhile, Vancouver’s starts decreased 13%, and Toronto fell 37% due to a decrease in new apartments.
