The First of Its Kind: Indoor Wood Sports Surfacing Manual Now Available

A new technical publication, the “Indoor Wood Sports Surfacing: Installation & Maintenance Manual,” is now available from the American Sports Builders Association in hard copy and PDF form for $39.95.

A reference for facility owners, builders, installers, manufacturers and others, the manual covers topics including planning and design considerations, tools used in wood flooring installations, jobsite conditions for successful wood flooring installation, care and maintenance of wood sports floors and more. It also includes photos and diagrams.

The inaugural edition of the publication was edited by an editorial board led by Rob Zehnder of Covington Flooring Co. Inc. and made up of members from ASBA’s Indoor Sports Surfacing Division, with input from the NWFA.

ASBA’s Indoor Sports Surfacing Division was created by sports flooring contractors in 2023.
