Report: Customers Still Waiting on Lumber Liquidators Bamboo Settlement Payments

Some customers are still waiting for their settlement payments from a class-action lawsuit involving Lumber Liquidators’ Morning Star Strand Bamboo, according to a report by WSOC-TV

The settlement, in which the company agreed to pay $14 million in cash and $14 million in vouchers to people who purchased the bamboo flooring between Jan. 1, 2012, and March 15, 2019, was finalized in October 2020, according to the settlement website.

One document stated customers would receive their settlement within 60 days of the filing, according to WSOC-TV. However, the settlement site now states settlement checks and vouchers will be mailed in July 2021.

Plaintiffs in the lawsuit claimed the Morning Star Strand Bamboo line was defective. Lumber Liquidators denied such claims but agreed to settle in 2019.
