Trick of the Trade: Getting Close to Cabinets

Here's a trick Wayne Lee learned from his friend and industry icon Daniel Boone for edging close to cabinets without risking damage. Use non-marking blue tape to attach a metal yardstick along the base of the cabinets. The edger won't damage the cabinets, and all that's left is a little bit of hand-work to sand the rest. This is particularly useful when there won't be any trim along the cabinet base.
