Causing sanding damage to millwork items such as the baseboard and base shoe is a floor refinisher's nightmare. In many cases, the millwork has already seen wear and tear. Now, after sanding, it has been brought to the flooring professional's attention that the edger and/or edger sandpaper has damaged the enamel on the quarter-round. Now the tension begins between the client and contractor, creating the need for a wood floor inspection.
