David Friedland sent the story of this memorable job:
“We were sanding a Marriott hotel, and we were worried about sanding the front lobby because there were a lot of people staying at the hotel. It was 9 p.m. when we finally turned the machines on. Much to our surprise, we were like the entertainment—there were crowds of people watching us sand the floors, and waiters were bringing the spectators drinks. I was running the big machine in the lobby, and around midnight, Justin Singler was running the edger in a room beside me near a bar that had glass walls. When he stopped to change his paper, he looked up and saw there was a girl on the other side of the glass who was twerking for a good minute. When he saw it he turned red and started laughing. He then started making it rain with dollars. Everyone, even the owner of the hotel, was dying laughing!”
