This issue’s tip is from Loba-Wakol USA’s Cash Pyle:
Using a bucket on a dolly to spread finish offers several advantages. First, it eliminates the need to slide a bucket across the floor, which could leave scratches or drag marks. Second, it reduces strain on your back, making the process more ergonomic. Third, the dolly makes it easy to move around and keep the bucket near you as you work across the room, increasing efficiency and reducing downtime. By minimizing distractions and streamlining the process, I can focus more effectively on laying the finish, resulting in a smoother and more consistent application. The dolly I made is from ¾-inch plywood and swivel wheels from a hardware store. The bucket shown is a Loba bucket, which has some advantages: With a tweak to the lid, it acts like a retaining ring to hold the liner bag, and the lid has two pull rings that act as my brush holder, helping me keep everything together. For me it makes the whole coating process nice and chill.
