“Heading into 2016, home price growth remains in its sweet spot as prices have increased between 5 and 6 percent on a year-over-year basis for 16 consecutive months,” said Frank Nothaft, CoreLogic chief economist, in the report.
The HPI forecasts home prices in December will be the same as in November and that by November 2016, home prices will have increased 5.4 percent.
Colorado’s 10.4 percent year-over-year price appreciation was the largest in the country. Meanwhile, Nevada home prices remain 30.1 percent below their peak value.
