Builder confidence dropped one point in February to a level of 74, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) reported.
Despite the decline, the past three monthly readings remain the highest builder confidence levels since December 2017.
“Steady job growth, rising wages and low interest rates are fueling demand, but builders are still grappling with increasing construction and development costs,” NAHB Chairman Dean Mon stated.
Builder confidence levels above 50 are considered positive, according to NAHB.
