AHF Products (Mountville, Pa.) is reintroducing the Hartco flooring brand and making it exclusive to independent flooring retailers.
The reintroduction comes more than a year after AHF’s parent company’s purchase of the Armstrong wood flooring segment. Hartco, once known for its parquet, was acquired in 1996 by Triangle Pacific, which was the owner of Bruce Hardwood Flooring and one of its largest competitors. Armstrong purchased Triangle Pacific and its brands in 1999.
AHF plans to reintroduce the Hartco brand this spring, refreshing its Prime Harvest and American Scrape collections.
“We will continue to innovate products that are relevant to the market and in character with the brand,” AHF President and CEO Brian Carson said in a statement. “It means a deeper, far more targeted portfolio than before, stronger sales and merchandising support.”
The Hartco brand’s new website can be found here. AHF Products’ other brands include Bruce, LM Flooring, Homerwood and Robbins.
