Court Orders Revaluation of Chinese Engineered Wood Flooring Duties

The U.S. Court of International Trade has ordered a revaluation of duties imposed on Chinese engineered wood flooring, Bloomberg Law reports.

The court said the Commerce Department used an improper calculation method to determine the flooring’s export price. Commerce had conducted a periodic duty review on multilayered flooring imports from China to the U.S. between December 2012 and November 2013 and determined a duty rate of 13.74%. The duties have since been lowered to 6.55%, and the new valuation could lower them further, according to the report.

Commerce has 60 days beginning March 11 to issue a correction to the duty calculation.

The full court order can be found here.
