As the NBA gears up to restart games in Orlando next week, it unveiled its official hardwood design for the occasion, featuring "Black Lives Matter" in prominent lettering on the sideline of its court at the Walt Disney World Resort.
The inclusion of the lettering is meant as a show of solidarity with the social justice movement for racial equality. ESPN reported in late June that the NBA and National Basketball Players Association planned to include “Black Lives Matter” on its courts at the Walt Disney World Resort when games resumed after cancellations caused by the pandemic.
It’s a #WholeNewGame.
