The International Wood Flooring Association (IWFA) will host a training school called “Game Changer: Beyond Expert Level Sand and Finishing” March 5–7 at the Jack Walsh Trade Showroom in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Instructors for the three-day course include hardwood flooring masters Howard Brickman of Brickman Consulting and Avedis Duvenjian and Vartan Arutyunian of Archetypal Imagery Corp.
The course will cover master-level sanding techniques, ultra-high-end finishing, designing custom wood floors with colors, color effects, coloring layering, working with metallics, stenciling designs, neutralizing the red in red oak, creating borders and patterns with and without inlays, scaling contracting to boutique manufacturing and prefinishing of custom flooring.
The cost to attend is $650. Students will also receive a set of Vesting LED Oil color samples, a handheld LED curing light, an IWFA T-shirt and a one-year IWFA Contractor Membership.
