This issue’s tip is from Joshua Crossman at Yelm, Wash.-based PTL Hardwood Floors LLC:
Several years ago, I got the idea to create these buffer plate attachment hangers after seeing [fellow pro] Kyle Neuroh’s van—he had made one out of plywood. So, I made some for myself out of plywood, and they worked well for a few years. But those wore down, so I had a buddy weld some up for me out of steel. It took a few tries to get the size just right, but now they’re exactly right, and they really help with organization. I thought this was a great idea, so I shared it with other pros in the trade, and then I started to make more and sell them on social media. They are currently $40 each, plus $15 shipping. I can be reached via Facebook or email: [email protected] (I accept Apple Pay, Zelle, or Venmo).
