Trick of the Trade: Minimizing the Mess on Trowels When Spreading Adhesive

Nobody likes dealing with the mess created by trying to clean up adhesive. It seems to find its way onto everything, including you. Here's an easy way to take some of the work out of your cleanup after a glue job. Cover your entire trowel—except for the notches, of course—with blue tape. Then, when you're done, simply peel off the tape. All you have left to clean are the notches.
