Trick of the Trade: Tip for Job-Costing

Knowing how much to charge for a job is a perpetual problem for many wood flooring contractors. One way to help with your job costing is to collect your used materials from the job instead of just throwing them in the trash. Seeing how many abrasives you actually used (as in the example to the right) compared with what you expected will help you know if you made money on the job, as well as help make your future estimates more accurate.
