Consistent Posting Grows Wood Floor Pro's YouTube Audience

When Courtney Lee of Truman’s Hardwood Floor Refinishing & Cleaning started his company’s YouTube page, success wasn’t immediate. It took two years before the subscriber list began to grow—but once it started, it didn’t stop. Today, Lee, who is based in Lawrenceville, Ga., has over 21,000 subscribers and nearly 7 million total views. His main ingredient for success? Consistency. “People love to see that you’re working every day,” he says, noting he aims to post a new video at least once a day. His videos consist of job site tours and explanations for his floor cleaning and recoating processes, as well as before-and-after transformations. Transparency and educating his audience are important parts of the job, Lee says. He gets at least one lead a week from his videos, as well as calls from across the country seeking advice. Along with being consistent and educating, Lee advises other pros to lean into their own personalities in their videos. “Be yourself,” he says. “Try to find ways to separate yourself from everybody else.”
