In today’s digital landscape, monetizing social media content has become a viable avenue for wood flooring businesses to earn additional revenue. Here are the guidelines for monetizing content across the major platforms:
YouTube
The YouTube Partner Program allows its creators to earn revenue by sharing ad income. To enter this program and earn money, users need 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 public watch hours on long-form videos in the last 12 months or 10 million public shorts views in the last 90 days. After enabling monetization for the channel, users can turn on Google ads for their videos and get a share of the revenue generated.
Facebook Content Monetization allows pages to earn money based on the performance of their videos, reels, photos, stories and text posts. Users have to be invited to the program by Meta. To qualify for payouts, users must be onboarded to the Content Monetization Program and their page must be in “professional mode.”
Similar to Facebook, Instagram has an invitation-only monetization program it calls “bonuses.” To be invited, users must have a “professional” account. Once invited to the program, users can earn bonuses based on the number of reel plays or post views.
TikTok
To earn money on TikTok, users can apply to the platform’s Creator Rewards Program. To qualify, users need at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the past 30 days. Videos must be original and longer than a minute in order to earn money in the program. Videos that meet that criteria will start to collect earnings as soon as they reach 1,000 views on TikTok’s “For You” page.
