The hand-scraped flooring is typically red or white oak in 4–7-inch widths. The durability and rustic look are a big draw, adds Rodriguez: “It is a particular taste, not for all. But my clients can’t get enough.” And, personally, Rodriguez agrees: “I love floors with character and attitude.”
