Foundations: Know Your Wood Floor Sanding Grit Sequence

When sanding, never skip more than one grit in the sanding sequence. If you do, you risk just skimming the tops off the peaks you created with the rougher abrasive, as shown in the illustration above. The grit sequence is below.
